El exfutbolista brasileño Edson Arantes do Nascimento ‘Pelé’ ha pedido a Lionel Messi que recapacite y reconsidere su decisión de renunciar al seleccionado argentino.
“En los últimos diez años ha sido el mejor futbolista del mundo, sin duda. Lo que le ha pasado a él son cosas que suceden en el fútbol. Sólo que el que lanza un penalti lo puede fallar”, dijo Pelé, en unas declaraciones que recoge este viernes la cadena británica Sky Sports.
“Es normal que esté triste y decepcionado, pero tiene que esperar un poco y olvidarse de esto, ya que es algo que le ha pasado a muchos jugadores muy buenos. Todos han fallado un penalti alguna vez”, comentó ‘O Rei’, antes de añadir que esperaba que Messi le escuchara y le hiciera caso.
La estrella del Barcelona y de la ‘albiceleste’, de 29 años, anunció el pasado domingo, después de caer ante Chile por penales en la final de la Copa América Centenario -su tercera final perdida consecutiva-, su renuncia a la selección argentina.
